Easy Japanese JPG Book to Single Black PDF Convert
As a Japanese student and a Japanese culture lover I wanted to profound my learning by reading Japanese books, but there's Kanji I don't know and the OCR translation was very much of a hassle. As I've previously experienced how incredibly fast one can improve in a language by reading books when I was learning English a long time ago, it then came to mind "How great would it be if these vertical text images were Black PDFs just like the books I used to read...", therefore I made this for personal use and here I share!
About the software: It uses deep learning OCR to get all the Japanese text, processes it to be horizontal and makes a PDF out off all the text. Note that if the book has illustrations they'll be in the PDF just fine, I've also implemented a illustration recognition system that seems to work pretty well.
Usage: Open OCRSoftware.exe and insert the path to the folder containing the images, everything that's not an image will be ignored. After it finishes there will be a file named 000FullPDF.pdf in the same path. And you're done! Note that if you open the config.ini file you can set a few parameters that will change the output, such as font size, black or white pages.
